Muswell Hillbillies Fest

Owing to the sad passing of Queen Elizabeth yesterday, unfortunately as a mark of respect we will need to postpone our festival scheduled for this Saturday.

We understand that this will be very disappointing to you all, and no-one feels that more than us. We are currently exploring the option of rescheduling the event for next year, which coincidentally will be the 60th anniversary of The Kinks forming. Arrangements are at an early stage, and we are liaising with the bands and staging providers as we write.

We will be touch again shortly to discuss the possibility of moving this event to next year.

Thank you for your continued support.

We are honoured that the people of Muswell Hill are going to enjoy our Music all day on the 10th September as part of The Muswell Hill Festival. We have travelled the world but Muswell Hill and North London has always been our home so this feels very special. The warmth of community spirit means everything to us and we’re proud to call it  ‘home’

We hope you all have a super day!
Love Ray, Dave And Mick

Last year marked the 50th anniversary of a remarkably prescient Kinks album, Muswell Hillbillies but due to pandemic we could not mark this occasion.

This year with restrictions over, everyone is invited to gather on Fortisgreen Road (closed for the traffic for this occasion) on 10th of September from 1pm-8pm to celebrate all things Kinks! Dress code: 70s (the best dressed will receive the prizes)

There will be stage with live music with bands performing Kinks’ songs, food and drink, dancing and well knows Muswell Hill Community Spirit celebrating one of our own.

Deanna Bogdanovic, driving force behind this fest together with Muswell Business and Friends of St James Square, said: ‘The Kinks never lost sight of the people swept up by a swiftly changing world in their music. Their songs are relevant today as they were back in 1971. So let’s all get together with neighbours and traders to celebrate not just The Kinks but our community as a whole. Muswell Hill deserves a great party, it’s been a while.’
